10 Ways to easily upcycle vintage rhinestone earrings

Dear all,

I found this interesting blog post by lovemaegen.com and could not resist to share this with you, so here goes:

I found these large vintage rhinestone earrings on Ebay for under $5, but I’m 100% sure my local thrift shops have a nice little collection and yours would too. I bet you could also find some in your Grandma’s jewelry box, if she’ll part with them! Since they’re clip-ons, and clip-ons never seem to say clipped onto my little lobes, I thought I’d upcycle them in a number of ways to show you just how versatile they are as well as adding that extra something to brighten up a plain object, giving it a really unique vintage flair.

* Beading Pliers
* Wire cutters
* Hot glue gun

First things first… let’s remove the earring backs.

* Using your pliers, bend the clip on metal piece up, and using your wire cutters, snip them off at the base.

Here’s what I came up with…

1. Shoe Clips

How To Find Your Specific Purpose in Life by Gregg Fetter

Hey all,

As you might have noticed I am posting more self discovery links than small craft projects these days.

I’m on a journey of defining my purpose and dealing with everything that has to do with it. From dealing with emotions, time management, making decisions and cleaning up.

I am hooked on a bible verse for this:

Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

In papiamentu (my native language): Buska reino di Dios i buska pa hasi su boluntat prome i boso ta hana tur e sobra kosnan aki aserka.

So after receiving a very important word I could no longer sit and wait. I had to do something, but what? I still have no clue of what the “thing” is.

I started asking God to take away things from me that would hinder or do not contribute to the purpose, to point things out to me, to show more specifically, even to shake me if He needs to.

So today I bumped into this post (after searching for 100+ others) and I finally found something practical I can tackle!!

It’s called: Bible Made Simple: How To Find Your Specific Purpose in Life by Mr. Gregg Fetter.

I’m not there yet, but I will most certainly work on it to get there, because I really feel like a fish out of water.

While on this journey I will keep on crafting and drinking tea! After all, that’s what I have always liked the most!

Till then ❤

When I don’t feel like doing it!

Hey everyone!

Ever had the feeling like you don’t want to do something, you don’t feel like doing it or you just rebel inside because you want something else!

I’ve been there many times (read about it here) and find myself to the edge of depression and with an inner battle! Sometimes it’s hard to see the point, or work at something I just don’t like or just to let go and let God.

I’ve found some great articles about this matter but I want to point out a particular one I found that has steps to help you archive what you need to whether you like it or not.

Here’s the article: How to make yourself do it when you just don’t want to.

It surely does help to get things done and to discipline myself.

I rely a lot on the bible for direction, peace and confirmation in my life, so these days I’m reading this verse a lot:

Isaiah 41:10 (AMP)

Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice.

I hope it can help someone out there,

Have a great day!
